What should I bring?
- Sunscreen 30+
- Good hat
- Light long sleeved shirt, long pants
- Polaroid sunglasses
- Camera
- Wet shoes I.E crocs or similar
- You can purchase most items in Weipa but you may not have time to shop.
What if I’m a beginner fisherman?
- Jim will give you as much help and guidance as you require.
How long should I book for?
- We recommend minimum 4 days. You have 5 large river systems to fish plus inshore coastal and offshore reefs. Contact us if your time restraints differ we are keen to accommodate your needs.
Do I need my own fishing tackle?
- No
- Quality tackle can be supplied at a replace if broken or lost basis
- If you are bringing your own tackle it should be of good quality and in good working order as the Weipa fish will destroy it if it’s not.
Can I take fish home?
- Yes. But you are limited to baggage on the plane
- We encourage eco fishing so it’s all here for you next time.
Will my mobile work in Weipa?
- Yes, if you have CDMA or Next G.
- Bear in mind there is only a limited area around Weipa approximately 30 kilometres
